Technical Details
They’re naturally found either in red, brown, blue, or yellow-golden colors. They’re found in a crystal structure that belongs to the tetragonal crystal system. Hafnium is the most common impurity attributing to about 1% to 4%.
MAIN APPLICATIONS
They have a variety of utilities as a raw material. Almost half of the entire zircon sand that is produced around the world is used in the ceramic industry and the rest are generally split between refractory applications and the foundry industry.
